Bladder and Pelvic Rehabilitation

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation:

The goal of pelvic floor rehabilitation is to   strengthen the muscles between the pubic bone and tailbone- those surrounding the urethra and rectum. Strengthening these muscles helps with chronic pelvic pain, rectal pain, and associated symptoms. It will restore your quality of life!

Understanding the Cause:

Childbirth, Surgery, Injury, Aging, etc. can cause the pelvic floor muscles to weaken which results in diminished bladder control. Certain muscles may become overactive, causing a more frequent need to urinate, urgency issues and incontinence. Since the pelvic floor muscles surround both the urethra and the rectum, fecal incontinence is sometimes an issue as well.

What to Expect:

  1. Medical Urodynamic evaluation of  nerve muscle function paired with a treatment plan by Urology experts
  2. Pelvic Floor Exercises
  3. Pelvic Floor Stimulation
  4. Restoring Bladder Function
  5. Changes to Your Diet

Treatable Symptoms Are:

  • Incontinence both stress and urge
  • Frequent Urination
  • Post-void dribble
  • Urgency of Urination
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Incomplete bladder emptying
  • Retention
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Chronic constipation; slow-transit
  • Dyspareunia
  • Female sexual disorder
